Special Events

The primary purpose of these types of events is community education and recreation, and as a fundraising opportunity for the BCBGNP.

Volunteers may be asked to attend an event-orientation meeting prior to the start of the event. This helps the BCBGNP ensure that all volunteers are able to provide the same level of quality and accurate information to event visitors and participants.

These events are usually held on a single day, or occasionally multiple days (such as over a weekend).

In most cases, compared to other volunteer opportunities, a large number of volunteers are needed to make the special events a success. These types of events are ideal for a company, group, or organization that would like to participate together.

It is hoped that “special event” volunteers are able to commit to donating their time and effort to several date/time periods over the course of the event. And hopefully, perhaps you can persuade your friends, family, or co-workers to join you.
